Meet The Team
GRACE,
Founder
"Ignite means inspiring others into action."
Grace is the founder of 'Ignite The Movement'. She is also a Social Worker and Program Supervisor for a Community Center in Queens, NY. "Ignite" began with a vision, a series of eye-opening events, and by the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Grace is a God-fearing woman with a passion for community organizing, encouraging, empowering, advocating for and supporting others in their various ventures.
Ignite is a platform created to support others in actualizing their love for Jesus Christ and to help others understand God’s love for mankind.​
OLUWATOBILOBA
Executive Assistant
“Ignite is a moment of kindling the fire young believers have yet to realize has been there all along.”
Tobi is a young servant living in the overflow of God’s grace. He currently serves as the Executive Assistant for Ignite and is pursuing his Master of Public Health at New York University. In 2024, Tobi launched Job 29, a nonprofit organization addressing social isolation and poor mental health among young men. He also leads Omo Oba Entertainment, a solo venture that spreads the gospel through entertainment as an MC and event host. Above all, Tobi is committed to using his gifts and calling to be a light that breaks strongholds of darkness.
JJ
Worship Team Lead
"Ignite, to me, means a time to come enjoy worship in Gods presence."
JJ is a Software Engineer and serves as the Worship Team Lead for Ignite. He is also a member of the praise team of RCCG Chapel of Praise, where he plays both the drums and piano. With a heart devoted to serving God's kingdom, JJ is always ready to help others in their time of need.
Ignite has given JJ to opportunity to actively use his God-given gifts in music, and beyond, to glorify God and serve others.

SOLOME
Media/Creative Lead
“Ignite is where I can step into the calling that God has for my life.”
Solome Zewdu is a recent graduate of Cornell University, where she majored in Human Biology. She serves as the Social Media Lead for Ignite and is a committed member of Christian Community Church in Ithaca, where she faithfully serves on the media team. Solome has a heart for service and a passion for bringing healing—both physically and spiritually. She is especially motivated by seeing youth on fire for Christ and walking boldly in their God-given purpose.
TOFUNMI
Lead Servant
“Ignite is about an encounter with God. It is a chance to enter the secret place and have your heart kindled with an ever-burning fire—by and for Jesus.”
Tofunmi is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and serves as the Lead Servant for Ignite. She is passionate about seeing others come to know God personally and be transformed into His likeness. Called to ministry by God, she currently serves as a minister at Christian Community Church in Ithaca. Tofunmi finds joy in teaching children, singing, dancing, laughing, organizing, fellowshipping, and using her creative gifts to advance the Kingdom of God.

Through Ignite, her faith continues to be stirred as she partners with God in the revival He is already bringing to New York City.

MADELYN
Prayer/Intercession Lead
“Ignite is about recklessly abandoning all that we know to dwell in the all-consuming fire.”
Madelyn Godfrey is a senior majoring in Psychology at Cornell University and serves as Ignite’s Intercession Lead. She is a licensed minister at Christian Community Church Ithaca, where she has helped establish Bible studies and college ministries on both campuses. Madelyn faithfully serves on the prayer team and has been trained through CCC’s Minister-in-Training (MIT) program. She carries a call to intercession, a burning heart for revival, and a passion for mentoring others in both spiritual and physical health—especially through educating others about gut health.

Ignite has allowed Maddie to continue contending for revival, that we may become the generation “who seek the face of the God of Jacob” (Psalm 24:6).
YOLANDA
Resources Chair
“Ignite is where I found God and saw youth like me worship boldly. I learned that loving God doesn't mean dimming your light—it means letting it shine brighter.”
Yolanda is a student at the Sophie Davis Biomedical School of Education, pursuing a dual BS/MD degree. As Ignite’s Resources Chair, she ensures the team’s needs are met and operations run smoothly. Outside of school, Yolanda joyfully serves in her church community in every way she can—whether through praise dance ministry, support, or simple acts of service.
Ignite has helped Yolanda grow spiritually and express her love for God through movement, leadership, and deep connection with others.
ESTHER
Social Media/Graphics Lead
“Ignite is the space where I surrender the world’s distractions to grow in God and ignite the gifts He’s placed in me and others.” for God’s glory and grow the fire within me and my fellow believers.”
Esther Babafemi is an upcoming junior at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she studies Advertising and Marketing Communications. She serves as Ignite’s Graphic Designer and Social Media Assistant, using her creativity to bring the vision to life. Outside the classroom, Esther stays active—worshiping with fellow Christian women, playing sports, dancing in studios, or working. Whether on the field or in church, her energy is constant.

Ignite marks her first step in using her gifts for God’s glory, and she is excited to keep growing in His kingdom.
